Regular gifts are the only income we can build a school year around. They pay salaries, hold places at school, and let our social workers promise a family that support will still be there in six months.
You can cancel at any time from the link in every receipt, and we will never phone you to talk you out of it. If you would rather give once, you can do that on the same form.
Before you give, the things you should check
- We are a registered organisation, and you can verify it
- Registered as a non-profit organisation in Kenya, no. SCH/2026/001, issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection — State Department for Social Protection. Our Charitable Children's Institution registration with the Directorate of Children's Services is DCS/CCI/NRK/2026/042. We will send copies of our certificates to anyone who asks.

Questions donors ask
Is my donation tax deductible?
Not at present. The Bridge of Hope Foundation is registered in Kenya, so gifts from the US and UK are not currently tax deductible there. We are working towards a partnership with a US and UK registered charity that would change this, and we will tell our monthly donors as soon as it does.
How do I cancel or change my monthly gift?
Every receipt we send includes a link to manage your gift, where you can change the amount or cancel in a couple of clicks. You can also email bridgeofhopefoundationsupport@gmail.com and we will make the change within the same week. No phone call, no questions asked.
What currency am I charged in, and what about exchange rates?
You are charged in the currency you choose on this page: US dollars, pounds sterling or Kenyan shillings. The amount you see is the amount taken. If your card or bank account is in a different currency, your own bank may add its own conversion fee, which we do not receive. Card gifts are processed securely by Stripe, and Kenyan shilling gifts by Safaricom M-Pesa; we never see or store your card details or M-Pesa PIN.
What proportion of my gift reaches children?
From our last audited accounts, independently audited by Wilson Lemayian, on a total income of KSh 6,450,000: 38% went to food, clothing and daily care; 24% to school fees and learning; 12% to medical cover and treatment; 18% to caregiver salaries; and 8% to administration and governance — costs we would rather disclose than hide. Can I visit, or volunteer with the children?
Yes, you are welcome to visit. We are happy to show you the home, introduce you to staff and walk you through our accounts. We do not place visitors in caregiving roles or allow unsupervised contact with children, however well meant, because a stream of short-term adults is harmful to children who have already lost people. Write to us and we will arrange a visit properly.
What will you send me, and how often?
A receipt each time you give, and an email update roughly every two months telling you what has actually happened here, including what went wrong. If you tick the updates box, that's all you'll get from us. We never sell or share your details. Read our privacy policy.
